They will not last longer in their best condition. Soon you will start seeing scratches on the lenses. If a scratch appears in an area where it disturbs your vision, you may be doing a lot of harm to your eyes by wearing those prescription glasses. So make sure that you always use a suitable liquid to clean the glasses.

The lens is not the only thing that you need to clean; you may also have to clean the frame occasionally. The prescription glasses will look bad and will not give a great impression if they are dirty. Even if you have cheap prescription glasses, keeping them clean will make them look expensive. Cleaning frame is not a big ask. You can easily use the same method which you used for cleaning the lenses or can clean the frame when you clean the lenses. Just make sure that you do not clean the lenses with a dry cloth. It might not get in touch with the lens but if it does, then there is every chance of getting a scratch anywhere on the lenses. Just make sure that you are taking these precautions and your prescription glasses will stay good for longer periods of time.
